From lumbar fusion surgery to back on the bicycle

Tina is a retired aerospace engineer who in 2021 underwent major spinal surgery including a lumbar spinal fusion. In the spring of 2022, Tina decided to try out Pilates as a low impact exercise routine to improve her strength and mobility.

Her specific goals were to strengthen her back, core, and upper body. With a consistent practice that includes multiple semi-private training sessions every week, Tina says, "It's working very well!"

Having a consistent movement practice is vital for an active mom of 2 and grandma of 2! Tina loves traveling and enjoys visiting her grandchildren regularly in Idaho.

An avid cyclist, Tina has been riding tandem bike with her husband for over 30 years. Together they have ridden various parts of the West Coast as well as parts of Europe.

In addition to cycling, Tina enjoys playing golf, reading, crocheting, knitting, and taking lots of walks with her golden retriever Sophie. After retirement Tina also began playing the banjo and ukulele and enjoys being a part of a handbell choir.

Everyone at our studio is impressed with Tina's dedication and work ethic. She comes to her sessions ready to work, is extremely focused, and easily adjusts to any group she attends. Her positive attitude, willingness to work, and rapport wit her classmates are inspiring!

We love having you in our studio community, Tina! Thank you for making Vero Pilates your home studio :o)
